Tomorrow Louisa will be 3 weeks old! She has already far surpassed her birth weight (8 lb 1 oz)...she was 8 lb 8 oz at her 2 week check up. Now we don't have to go back to the doctor until she is 2 months old.
I have a few things I could whine about, but I've heard from other blog-readers that there are plenty of "mommy blogs" out there where the blogger just complains about the difficulties of motherhood. Most of you already know what those might be, so I'll even skip the examples. Instead, here's a list of things we've come to enjoy about Louisa already:
1) Cute, dramatic yawns
2) Big stretches - arms over head into "put up your dukes"
3) 4 hours of continuous sleeping at night
4) "Fake" smiles in her sleep
5) Eye contact
Of course, this is not to say she's perfect, but she's been a good little baby so far! We've been so blessed by wonderful meals and visits from friends and family during the day. I have not been napping during the day, but have learned to sleep in. My record (which was today) is 11 am.
